Yan graduated in 1982 from Chengdu University of Traditional
Chinese Medicine (TCM) of China, which is one of the four
earliest founded TCM Universities in China.
Dr. Yan worked as
chief doctor and associate professor of Acupuncture and TCM in
Chongqing Hospital of TCM after graduation (a city with a
population of 30 million).
From 1992 - 1994,
Dr. Yan was chosen as the Acupuncture & TCM expert from hundreds
of candidates to work in Kuwait National Hospital as a member of
the Chinese Medical Team sent by the Chinese Central Government
and awarded an Honours Certificate by the Chinese Ministry of
Dr. Yan came to
Canada and started his service for Canadians in 1997.
Dr. Yan was a member
of the Acupuncture Association of China; he published more than
ten academic papers in the Chinese National Journals of
Acupuncture and TCM, and many times attended international and
Chinese conferences on Acupuncture and TCM (including USA, Cuba,
Singapore and China).
Dr. Yan has been
working in the clinic for more than 27 years, accumulating rich
clinical experience and helping thousands of patients recover
from various illnesses.
Since Manitoba hasn't
licensed Acupuncturists, Dr. Yan pursued and received an
Acupuncture licence from British Columbia in 2004.
